My prediction for who will win the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and why this is one of the most even matchups this postseason:
The game will be played on Dec. 21 between Wyoming (6-6) and Kent State (7-6). I’ll start off saying that both teams have had some high highs, but low lows. Kent State has some good wins against NIU and Miami (OH), but some bad losses in blowouts against Central Michigan and Western Michigan. Wyoming has some good wins with a blowout against Utah State and a close win against NIU. The Cowboys also had some bad losses with a shutout loss against Fresno State, and big losses to Hawai’i, Air Force, and New Mexico. While I think Wyoming’s highs out weigh Kent State’s highs, Wyoming’s lows are way more frequent than Kent State’s. For me this is a toss up. I’ll give the edge to Kent State, who I think will cover with a victory 38-35.
