My prediction for the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl and why I have mixed feelings about this matchup:
The game will be played on Dec 23 between UCF (8-4) and Florida (6-6). I have very mixed feelings here. UCF has beaten only 2 good wins (Boise St. and East Carolina), but both were when they had their QB Gabriel who is now transferring to UCLA. Florida has been on a roller coaster all season. They start the season 3-1 with a convincing win over Tennessee and almost beating Alabama. After that they lost to Kentucky, LSU, Georgia, and South Carolina, the latter two being blowouts. They beat Samford 70-56 in a thriller and then proceeded to lose to Missouri the next week. On rivalry weekend they beat Florida St. to reach bowl eligibility. UCF has handled all the meh teams on their schedule while being man handled by Cincinnati and SMU. Oh, and also Florida is getting a new coach. I am very surprised Florida is favored so much after playing so bad after the first 4 weeks. I also hate UCF personally, but that is a story for another day. As much as it pains me to say it, I think UCF will cover and win 35-31.
