My predictions for the top games of week 3:
Last Week: 4-1 (3-2)
Overall: 7-3 (5-5)
14 LSU (-9.0) at Mississippi State
I had huge expectations for LSU going into the season, but was absolutely clapped by Florida State in week 1. Mississippi State beat Arizona, and their run game looked surprisingly good after so many years of being an air raid offense. LSU is defeinitely on upset alert. I don’t think the Bulldogs have what it takes to win outright, but they will cover. LSU wins.
23 Kansas State (-3.0) at Missouri
Kansas State exceeded expectations last week in covering against Troy while Missouri struggled with MTSU. Missouri has good talent, but they don’t have much explosiveness on offense to keep up with KSU. Kansas State will win and cover.
5 Washington (-16.5) at Michigan State
Two big names, but I expect Washington to win and cover. Washington has been dominant so far, and is a real playoff contender. They may steam roll through everyone until they play against Oregon in week 7.
16 Tennessee (5.5) at Florida
I am perplexed by this line. Tennessee has looked sharp so far this season on both sides of the ball, and Florida was shaky against Utah. The same Utah that almost lost to Baylor. I think Tennessee beats Florida and covers easily.
BYU at 17 Arkansas (-8.0)
I did put Arkansas on upset alert, but I’m not sure if BYU is going to live up to it. Their offense has not been great against inferior opponents, and Arkansas has looked solid. Arkansas will win and cover with much better QB play than the cougars.
