Week 10: CFB Locks

My locks for week 10:

Locks: 6-6

Upset Alert: 3-1

Game of the Week: 2-2

Locks

Ole Miss (-2.5) vs Texas A&M

Ole Miss has been on fire all season outside of the second half against Alabama. They are 7-1 and in position to continue their playoff contention. They just have to beat A&M. Texas A&M is good, but they don’t have the explosion on offense to keep up with Ole Miss. Even if this ends up being a really close game and comes down to a field goal at the end, Ole Miss would still cover with only 3 points. I like the Rebels here a lot.

Nebraska (-3.0) at Michigan State

Nebraska has been one of the most improved teams all year with Matt Rhule taking over. They have won 5 of their last 6 and have a chance to go to the Big Ten championship still. Michigan State has been embarrassing and have yet to win a conference game all year. I really like the Corn Huskers here.

Alabama (-3.0) vs LSU

Alabama is playing some of their best football as of late, and has had a week to prepare for LSU’s offense. I think Alabama has the best defense in the SEC and one of the best in the country. While you can say the same for LSU’s offense, their defense I believe is significantly worse than Alabama’s offense. Thus, I give the edge to Alabama, and they don’t have to win by much to cover.

Upset Alert

Oklahoma State (+6.0) vs Oklahoma

Last week was my first loss of the season for upset alert, by I honestly didn’t like that pick to begin with. This week I’ll get things back on track with Bedlam. This is the last matchup between these two rivals for the foreseeable future, and OKST is gonna be pumped, especially since it’s a home game. Oklahoma has been very sluggish since their win over Texas with a near loss against UCF, and an actual loss against Kansas. Oklahoma State has played like one of the best teams in the country since their embarrassing two game stretch against South Alabama and Iowa State, but guess who they weren’t utilizing during that stretch? RB Ollie Gordon II, who may be the best running back in college football. When Oklahoma State wins this game, I think Gordon should be in serious Heisman talks.

Game of the Week

11 LSU at 6 Alabama

This is game is one of the most impactful matchups year after year, and this year is no exception. As I said before, I think Alabama will get the win, but if they don’t properly contain Jayden Daniels in the pocket, they could be in a lot of trouble.
