Week 12: CFB Locks

My locks for week 12:

Locks: 9-9

Upset Alert: 4-2

Game of the Week: 4-2

Locks

Michigan (-19.5) at Maryland

Maryland has beaten every team this season by over 20 points except for Penn State, and Maryland has not played very well lately, losing 4 of their last 5. While they will not have Jim Harbaugh, Michigan should still be able to win easily.

Jacksonville State (-8.0) vs Louisiana Tech

I’ve never really covered the C-USA this season, but I thought this spread was too good to pass up. Jacksonville State has been destroying all of their C-USA opponents (except Liberty) while Louisiana Tech has 5 straight losses including a double digit loss to the lowly Sam Houston State. I like the Gamecocks BIG in this one.

Georgia (-10.0) at Tennessee

Don’t get me wrong, I think Tennessee is better than their performance against Missouri says they are, but Georgia has been gaining momentum down the stretch. I don’t see anyway how Tennessee could keep up with Georgia if Ole Miss wasn’t able to.

Upset Alert

Northwestern (+3.0) vs Purdue

Northwestern has been one of the most surprising teams all season. I thought they were going to be terrible, and now they are 5-5 with a chance to go to a bowl game. Northwestern is coming off a big, double digit win against Wisconsin, and Purdue has lost 4 of their last 5. The Wildcats also just announced that David Braun will be their official head coach, and I suspect that they’ll be ready to play.

Game of the Week

5 Washington at 13 Oregon State

Washington has been living dangerously, and Oregon State has been playing very well… but something is telling me Washington escapes another close game and loses next week against WASU. I feel like Washington is gonna come ready to play.
