NFL Power Rankings: Week 2

My power rankings for week 2 and an updated playoff projection:

1. Kansas City Chiefs 1-0

vs CIN

The Chiefs looked really good in week 1, and Xavier Worthy is a stud. The Bengals did not look great last week, and I expect KC to keep rolling.

2. Detroit Lions 1-0

vs TB

The Lions’ defense looked much improved against the Rams, and Jameson Williams had a breakout game. Their O-line on the last drive was DOMINANT, and I expect them to dominate for the rest of the season if they stay healthy. Tampa Bay should be another good test.

3. Baltimore Ravens 0-1

vs LV

The Ravens were inches away from beating the Chiefs, and Isaiah Likely seems to have surpassed Mark Andrews as TE1. Everything was great, but they unfortunately had to play against the Chiefs.

4. San Francisco 49ers 1-0

at MIN

The Niners absolutely dominated the Jets. The offense is sharp, the defense is great, the Niners are locked in and looking for another Super Bowl trip.

5. Philadelphia Eagles 1-0

vs ATL

The Eagles had a good debut game, and Saquon Barkley seems to already be worth it. The offense is rolling, but we’ll have to see if the defense can bounce back against the Falcons.

6. Miami Dolphins 1-0

vs BUF

The Dolphins had some hiccups in week 1, but the defense is already looking better than last year, and the offense looks fixable. I expect a better performance out of Miami this week.

7. Los Angeles Rams 0-1

at ARI

The Rams played the Lions really well, and, if they didn’t have all the injuries they did, they could have very well won.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-0

at DET

Tampa Bay had a very good week 1, and the offense hasn’t lost a step, but Detroit is whole other animal.

9. Houston Texans 1-0

vs CHI

The run game was perhaps better than it was during the entirety of last year. They got a good win in Indianapolis, but they need to improve in preventing big plays.

10. Green Bay Packers 0-1

vs IND

We’ll see how Green Bay does without Jordan Love, but they are definitely really good when he’s healthy.
