Week 8: CFB Locks

My locks for week 8:

Locks: 8-10

Upset Alert: 6-0

Game of the Week: 4-2

Locks

Notre Dame at Georgia Tech (+14)

I think Notre Dame has been getting better every week, but I still don’t think they will be able to beat the Yellow Jackets by more than two touchdowns. GT has a very explosive offense, and the defense will be good enough to keep them in the game

Georgia at Texas (-4.5)

Yes, Georgia is really good, but they are not elite. They have so many holes all across their team as their defense and running game, which have been staples of Kirby Smart’s tenure, have been painfully average. I believe Texas may be the only elite all-around team in college football, and they are going to win by at least a touchdown.

TCU at Utah (-3.5)

Utah has not been on a very good stretch, but TCU is a very average team while Arizona and Arizona State have some decent things going for them. Especially with this game being at home, Utah’s defense will come to play. While this may be a low scoring 13-3 kind of game, that is still a cover.

Upset Alert

Michigan at Illinois (+3.5)

Michigan and Illinois are basically the same team except Illinois can actually throw the ball That couple with them having the homefield advantage, I like the Fighting Illini to win this outright.

Game of the Week

5 Georgia at 1 Texas

See what I wrote in the locks segment, but yeah, Texas is way better than Georgia.
