Super Bowl Contenders

AFC

  • Kansas City
  • Buffalo
  • Baltimore

These three teams all have elite QBs, strong running games (border-line elite in Baltimore’s case), and fantastic defenses. These teams are really good all around. However, I have problems with all three.

KC has not even been close to touching dominance this year. They have been winning every game, but it has been close every single time.

BUF has been dominant week in week out, except for when they play anybody good. They have played two games against teams with winning records, and they lost both times.

BAL is extremely inconsistent. They beat good teams like Buffalo and Tampa Bay, but they have lost games against Las Vegas and Cleveland (though I do think Cleveland is actually a decent team with Winston instead of Watson).

All of these teams have their flaws, and whichever one can fix those flaws when the playoffs come around, will be the team to win the AFC.

NFC

  • Detroit Lions
  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Green Bay Packers

The Lions seem to be the clear front runner. They have almost no problems. Their offense is the best and possibly most balanced in the NFL, while the defense is really good, even without Aidan Hutchinson.

The Falcons are looking really good right now. The offense is clicking right now, and it is getting better and better every week. The defense just needs to pick up a little slack, and they could challenge Detroit.

The Packers look like a Walmart Detroit. They are balanced and have a solid defense. They just need Jordan Love to stay healthy, and we’ll see how they do once they finally meet up with Detroit in the regular season.
