Top 10 Video Game Battle Tracks

Some of the best music in gaming comes from its battle music, and here are my top 10:

1 – Gladion (Pokemon Sun & Moon)

Pokemon Sun and Moon was the first RPG I ever played, and this track is the best by far from that game. It also helps that Gladion is one of my favorite characters too. The bass in the background is my favorite part

2 – Mass Destruction (Persona 3)

I prefer this one slightly more than the Reload version, mostly because of female vocalist. While Reload’s Azumi Kawamura is better in every other song in the game, the original vocalist does better job in this one, giving much more of a 2000s vibe which I really like.

3 – Death by Glamour (Undertale)

Undertale has the best soundtrack of any video game. This is my personal favorite battle theme, and I think part of that is just because it fits Mettaton so well. He is my 2nd favorite character, and this is probably my favorite boss fight.

4 – It’s Going Down Now (Persona 3 Reload)

This battle music is so sick. Lotus Juice kills the rapping portion of this song (especially in the second verse) and this never gets old as I explore Tartarus.

5 – Bede (Pokemon Sword and Shield)

As far as pokemon games go, Sword and Shield are pretty mediocre, but the soundtrack makes up for it, and this is the best track in my opinion.

6 – Megalovania (Undertale)

Alright, this is a pretty typical pick, but come on. It absolutely slaps, and is a perfect song for the most intense battle in perhaps all of gaming.

7 – Last Surprise (Persona 5)

This song is iconic. I know several people who know this song and have never even heard of the game. Unfortunately, throughout my playthrough of Royal, I got ambushes on nearly every battle, so I didn’t hear this one much, but luckily Atlus puts their soundtracks on Apple Music.

8 – It’s TV Time! (Deltarune)

The best song from the best fight of the best chapter of Deltarune. Tenna is probably my 2nd favorite character in the game (only behind Queen) and his boss fight does not dissapoint.
